Acupuncture in Monument, Colorado
Ancient Practice. Proven Results. Completely Personalized to You.
If the thought of needles makes you nervous, you're in good company. But here's what I want you to know: acupuncture is one of the most deeply relaxing experiences most of my patients have ever had. Many fall asleep on the table — what I lovingly call the "needle nap."
My approach starts with genuinely listening to you — not just your symptoms, but your sleep, your stress, your life. From there, I build a treatment plan that's designed specifically for your body.
What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of ultra-thin, sterile needles — about the width of a human hair — into specific points on the body.
The TCM explanation: It restores the natural flow of Qi (energy) along the body's meridian pathways.
The scientific explanation: It triggers the nervous system to release endorphins, increases blood flow to targeted tissues, and resets the body's inflammatory response — promoting real, measurable healing.
Both explanations are true. And both are why it works.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
1. Consultation
Before a single needle is placed, we talk. Really talk. I ask about your health history, your sleep, your digestion, your stress, your goals. I may check your tongue or take your pulse — traditional diagnostic tools that give me a complete picture of your internal health. This is where I listen.

3. Rest
You'll relax for 20–30 minutes in a quiet, softly lit room. Most patients say this is the most peaceful 30 minutes of their week. Unplug completely and let your body do its work.
4. After Your Treatment
Most patients leave feeling calm, lighter, and refreshed. Drink plenty of water and avoid intense exercise the same day. Some people feel a little tired — that's normal and means your body is responding.
Note: While some patients notice relief after just one session, most chronic conditions see the best results with 6–10 treatments. I'll give you an honest treatment plan at your first visit — no pressure, no guessing.
